This site has been developed to serve as the final product and thesis for my master's work in teacher leadership at the High Tech High Graduate School of Education.  The purpose of this site is to provide resources and training necessary for the use of our space, as well as provide visitors with a how to guide for developing makerspaces in various educational settings.

Setting Description

Educator Resources Overview

This website is intended to serve as my final product for my masters project in teacher leadership.  The purpose of this site is to provide information and resources to two distinct audiences outlined below:
  1. The faculty, staff and students of High Tech High.  The primary purpose for this audience is to increase the use of this space, by providing the necessary information and resources needed to begin using the tools and equipment in our space.  The use of the various tools is explained in detail, explaining purpose, capabilities and proper safe use techniques.
  2. Outside educators who are interested in the development of a makerspace at their own educational institutions.  My aim for this audience is to summarize the process I have engaged in over the past three years.  I hope to provide information regarding everything from concept development and planning, to implementation and funding of makerspaces, as well as the research I have conducted around the use of makerspaces in educational settings.  The purpose of this is to provide detailed information for the planning, development and use of makerspaces in educational settings.
